Web 1.0(1989–2005)
Web 1.0 is also known as the "static web" or "read-only web," because it does not allow users to interact with web pages dynamically. The major objective of websites is to provide information to the general population. There is no algorithm for crawling or shifting the internet pages..The majority of the data comes from directories.

Web 2.0 (2005)

The second stage in the evolution of the web ‘A social web’, Web 2.0 is the web we’re using right now. It is also known as read-write web and the use of JavaScript, HTML, CSS makes it more interactive.   Web 2.0 is the business revolution in the computer industry caused by the move to the internet as a platform, and any attempt to understand the rules for success on that new platform. — Tim O’Reilly.   There is a lot of famous web 2.0 applications in this era like google Maps, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter. And lots of JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, Vue came up with contributing lots of concepts to the social web to make it elegant and user-friendly.
Web 3.0
The third stage in the evolution of the web, which is referred to as read-write-execute, is the future of the web. Web 3 enabled applications or DApps are developed on the decentralized peer-to-peer. Networks like Ethereum and IPFS. Rather than being developed, operated, and maintained by a corporation, these networks are built, operated, and maintained by their users. Some features of Web 3.0 Semantic Web Tim Berners-Lee concludes Web 3.0  putting concerned about personal data protection. The semantic web is the study of relationships between words. The computers need to analyze loads of data from the web, these data contain contents, transactions, words of emotions. Semantics considers the meaning or emotion of the content. Using semantics enables the machine to decode meaning and emotions by analyzing data. Semantic web and AI are two pillars of web 3.0. Also, combining it with NLP allows computers to process the instructions in the same way humans do. Google AI system removed around 100,000 negative reviews of the Robin Hood app from the play store following the Gamestop stock trading mess, when it detected attempts of rating manipulation to downvote the app artificially. This AI action will fit into internet 3.0, provide users with the best filtered and unbiased data possible.
Some Web 3.0 Applications
Wolfram Alpha
Wolfram Alpha is a ‘computational knowledge engine ‘ that answers your questions directly by computations, as the same as webpage search engines do. If we have a comparison, search India vs England on both Wolfram Alpha and Google. Google gives the result of the cricket world cup of India vs England, while Wolfram Alpha gives a detailed comparison of two countries. That’s the key difference between web 2.0 and 3.0.
Apple Siri
Apple’s voice-controlled AI assistant has grown more intelligent and has expanded its abilities over the years. It uses speech recognition, along with AI, and is able to perform complex commands.
Role of blockchain in web 3.0
The Web 3.0 would run on decentralized protocols. Therefore, it is imperative to find a possible convergence of blockchain In 3.0. Networks in 3.0 exhibits interoperability, automation by leveraging smart contracts, seamless integration, and censorship-resistant storage of P2P data files. Also, blockchain offers a unique collection of data or a universal state layer, which provides a value settlement layer on the internet. The state layer helps in sending files in a copy-protected manner to enable effective P2P transactions without any third party. Blockchain may be the foundation of web 3.0, first of all, it supports the development of governance layer running over the existing internet. The governance layer does not allow two unknown people who don’t trust each other to reach agreements and settle transactions over the internet. Web3.js Web3.js is a library that helps to use an HTTP or IPC connection with a local or distant Ethereum node. The Ethereum blockchain can be accessed with the web3.js library. It helps to send transactions, and communicate with smart contracts, among other things. Anyway, web 3.0 be the future of the web and will be able to solve the current issue in web 2.0 by ensuring data protection. Also, it open’s up the space for decentralized application culture and allows blockchain technology to the web sector.
